Bring your people into the forest.
Connect to True North
True North is an evolving two-acre forest sanctuary in Cedarpines Park, California, in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Towering pines, Engelmann oaks, mountain air, quiet nights, and the sounds of the forest create a setting for people to step away from their usual surroundings and experience something different.
The land is still being shaped. Rather than waiting until everything is finished, we're building True North gradually—one space, one gathering, and one waypoint at a time.
True North isn't one building. It's a collection of spaces across the land, each with its own character and possibility.
A quiet mountain forest setting beneath the cedars and pines, surrounded by the sounds of the forest and all it's life.
North Star is one of the first places taking shape at True North.
Founders night brought friends together under the forest canopy. Hands in the soil, real conversations and Quiet mornings. We discovered that True North was never about retreating from life — it's about returning to what matters: rest, connection, and each other. Giving focus to the human experience and finding peace in nature.
This place isn't finished. And that's part of the story.
We're building gradually, working with the land rather than trying to transform it all at once. Every clearing, trail, gathering space, and foundation represents another step toward the place we're imagining.
True North was founded by NASA engineer and filmmaker Thomas Graves.
His engineering career included building and testing complex spacecraft, including the James Webb Space Telescope. As a filmmaker, he has documented the people and craftsmanship behind wine, agriculture, and the places we call home.
True North brings those threads together: science, nature, craftsmanship, storytelling, and the belief that the places we create can shape the experiences we have within them.
